What is Cybersecure Canada compliance?
Cybersecure Canada is a federal cyber certification program that aims to raise the baseline level of cybersecurity among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Canada, increase consumer confidence in the digital economy, promote international standardization, and better position SMEs to be competitive on a global scale.
The certification requires that Canadian SMEs implement the basic security controls developed by the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security. The security controls aim to provide SMEs with the highest degree of protection with the least possible constraints. The Cybersecure Canada certification mark will allow certified companies to be officially recognized by the federal government for having demonstrated their compliance with the basic security controls. The certification mark is an easy way for customers, investors, partners, and suppliers to know that a company has reduced its cyber risk.
